While part of the internal creative studio at Hilton, I worked on an advertorial to appear in the Visit California travel guide. The purpose of the advertorial was to take the reader on a trip through the golden state by way of classic Hilton properties.

I proposed creating illustrations of the iconic properties with the goal of eventually turning them into enamel pins to be handed out at the individual properties.

I created the following illustrations in Procreate on my iPad and then modified them into consistent circle crops with the name of the location prominently displayed.

For the advertorial layout, I worked closely with the copywriter to take the reader on a full-spread journey through California–with one page being visual and the other page focusing on the written narrative.

The full advertorial features additional illustrations of iconic California moments to play into Hilton’s “To New Memories” campaign, including vineyards and wine, Joshua Tree, whale-watching and more.
